Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Lowly Are The Most Intelligent, The Elite Are The Most Ignorant by Yu Youhan was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2018. It changed hands for a price of HKD 2,375,000.00 (€ 250,600.46) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 1,500,000.00 – 2,500,000.00. Admittedly, works by Yu Youhan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 1985-4 in April 2011 with an auction result of HKD 14,100,000.00 (€ 1,225,342.42).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Lowly Are The Most Intelligent, The Elite Are The Most Ignorant von Yu Youhan kam im April 2018 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 2.375.000,00 (€ 250.600,46) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 1.500.000,00 – 2.500.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yu Youhan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 1985-4 im April 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 14.100.000,00 (€ 1.225.342,42).
