Auction result well in line with expectations
The work 1991-3 by Yu Youhan was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2017. The price achieved of HKD 2,740,000.00 (€ 323,418.08) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 2,000,000.00 – 3,000,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yu Youhan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 1985-4, which sold at auction in April 2011 for HKD 14,100,000.00 (€ 1,225,342.42).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit 1991-3 von Yu Youhan kam im April 2017 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 2.740.000,00 (€ 323.418,08) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 2.000.000,00 – 3.000.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Yu Youhan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 1985-4 beobachtet, die im April 2011 für HKD 14.100.000,00 (€ 1.225.342,42) versteigert wurde.
