Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Intoxicating Whiffs Of An Exotic Fragrance by Peng Yu was sold in the Modern Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2016. The price achieved of HKD 68,750.00 (€ 8,090.45) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Peng Yu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Alone At The Edge Of A Precipitous Cliff, which sold at auction in April 2016 for HKD 275,000.00 (€ 30,982.87).

Die Arbeit Intoxicating Whiffs Of An Exotic Fragrance von Peng Yu wurde im Oktober 2016 in der Auktion Modern Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 68.750,00 (€ 8.090,45) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Peng Yu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Alone At The Edge Of A Precipitous Cliff beobachtet, die im April 2016 für HKD 275.000,00 (€ 30.982,87) versteigert wurde.
