This artwork by Yu Hong achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2011. In the The Ullens Collection - The Nascence of Avant Garde China auction, the work The Man Playing Hula Hoop sold for HKD 860,000.00 (€ 74,737.20) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 400,000.00. Admittedly, works by Yu Hong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait With Alternating Red And Green in April 2011 with an auction result of HKD 5,060,000.00 (€ 439,732.81).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Yu Hong erzielte im April 2011 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Ullens Collection - The Nascence of Avant Garde China wurde die Arbeit The Man Playing Hula Hoop für HKD 860.000,00 (€ 74.737,20) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 400.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yu Hong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Portrait With Alternating Red And Green im April 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.060.000,00 (€ 439.732,81).
