Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Spontaneous Motion 1 by Yu Hong was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2016. The price achieved of HKD 1,187,500.00 (€ 139,744.12) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 1,000,000.00 – 1,500,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yu Hong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait With Alternating Red And Green, which sold at auction in April 2011 for HKD 5,060,000.00 (€ 439,732.81).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Spontaneous Motion 1 von Yu Hong kam im Oktober 2016 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 1.187.500,00 (€ 139.744,12) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 1.000.000,00 – 1.500.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Yu Hong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portrait With Alternating Red And Green beobachtet, die im April 2011 für HKD 5.060.000,00 (€ 439.732,81) versteigert wurde.
