Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2015 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Chinese Contemporary Ink, which included the work Rushing Water Amidst Towering Peak by Yu Chengyao. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 100,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 112,500.00 (€ 13,740.30). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yu Chengyao achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Magnificent Landscape in November 2008 with an auction result of HKD 5,780,000.00 (€ 587,379.86).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2015 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Chinese Contemporary Ink durch, in der auch die Arbeit Rushing Water Amidst Towering Peak von Yu Chengyao zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 100.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 112.500,00 (€ 13.740,30) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yu Chengyao erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Magnificent Landscape im November 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.780.000,00 (€ 587.379,86).
