Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2021 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern Art Day Sale, which included the work Mountain Landscape by Yu Chengyao. It changed hands for a price of HKD 378,000.00 (€ 40,470.82) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 200,000.00 – 400,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yu Chengyao achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Magnificent Landscape in November 2008 with an auction result of HKD 5,780,000.00 (€ 587,379.86).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2021 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mountain Landscape von Yu Chengyao zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 378.000,00 (€ 40.470,82) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 200.000,00 – 400.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yu Chengyao erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Magnificent Landscape im November 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.780.000,00 (€ 587.379,86).
