Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mountain Greenery by Yu Chengyao was sold in the Modern Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2017. The price achieved of HKD 400,000.00 (€ 47,214.32) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 350,000.00 – 450,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yu Chengyao achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Magnificent Landscape in November 2008 with an auction result of HKD 5,780,000.00 (€ 587,379.86).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Mountain Greenery von Yu Chengyao wurde im April 2017 in der Auktion Modern Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 400.000,00 (€ 47.214,32) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 350.000,00 – 450.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yu Chengyao erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Magnificent Landscape im November 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.780.000,00 (€ 587.379,86).
