Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2018 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern Asian Art, which included the work Memory Of Mount Hua by Yu Chengyao. The price achieved of HKD 625,000.00 (€ 70,375.93) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 500,000.00 – 700,000.00. Admittedly, works by Yu Chengyao have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Magnificent Landscape in November 2008 with an auction result of HKD 5,780,000.00 (€ 587,379.86).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2018 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Memory Of Mount Hua von Yu Chengyao zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 625.000,00 (€ 70.375,93) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 500.000,00 – 700.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yu Chengyao auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Magnificent Landscape im November 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.780.000,00 (€ 587.379,86).
