Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2016 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern Asian Art, which included the work Ink Landscape by Yu Chengyao. It changed hands for a price of HKD 437,500.00 (€ 49,290.93) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 350,000.00 – 450,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yu Chengyao achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Magnificent Landscape in November 2008 with an auction result of HKD 5,780,000.00 (€ 587,379.86).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2016 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ink Landscape von Yu Chengyao zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 437.500,00 (€ 49.290,93) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 350.000,00 – 450.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yu Chengyao erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Magnificent Landscape im November 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.780.000,00 (€ 587.379,86).
