Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2019 Bonhams in New York held the auction Amor FatiPhotographs Online, which included the work Selected Portraits (Helen Keller And Annie SullIvan; Albert Schweitzer; Jean Sibelius; And Jacques Cousteau) 4 by Yousuf Karsh. It changed hands for a price of USD 2,750.00 (€ 2,416.73) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yousuf Karsh achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fifteen Portraits in April 2013 with an auction result of USD 50,000.00 (€ 37,970.84).

Im Februar 2019 führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion Amor FatiPhotographs Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Selected Portraits (Helen Keller And Annie SullIvan; Albert Schweitzer; Jean Sibelius; And Jacques Cousteau) 4 von Yousuf Karsh zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 2.750,00 (€ 2.416,73) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yousuf Karsh erzielen.
