In November 2010 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale), which included the work In Search of Interpretation in Urban Prosperity by You Jin. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 325,000.00 (€ 32,111.08), 30% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by You Jin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Path - Backyard Garden in September 2017 with an auction result of CNY 1,104,000.00 (€ 140,464.91).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 30 % übertroffen
Im November 2010 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit In Search of Interpretation in Urban Prosperity von You Jin zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 325.000,00 (€ 32.111,08) und damit 30% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von You Jin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Path - Backyard Garden im September 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CNY 1.104.000,00 (€ 140.464,91).
