Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Not that Story by You Jin was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Evening Sale) auction at Christies in Shanghai in September 2019. It changed hands for a price of CNY 540,000.00 (€ 69,276.48) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of CNY 300,000.00 – 600,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by You Jin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Path - Backyard Garden, which sold at auction in September 2017 for CNY 1,104,000.00 (€ 140,464.91).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Not that Story von You Jin wurde im September 2019 in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Evening Sale) bei Christies in Shanghai versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von CNY 540.000,00 (€ 69.276,48) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von CNY 300.000,00 – 600.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von You Jin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Path - Backyard Garden beobachtet, die im September 2017 für CNY 1.104.000,00 (€ 140.464,91) versteigert wurde.
