It achieved a price of HKD 9,325,000.00 (€ 1,012,936.78), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 43%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nara Yoshitomo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Knife Behind Back in October 2019 with an auction result of HKD 195,969,000.00 (€ 22,398,966.83).

Die Arbeit Shallow Puddles Part 2 von Nara Yoshitomo wurde im Juni 2021 in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale in Association with Poly Auction bei Phillips in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 9.325.000,00 (€ 1.012.936,78) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 43%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nara Yoshitomo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Knife Behind Back im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 195.969.000,00 (€ 22.398.966,83).
