This artwork by Nara Yoshitomo achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in Hong Kong in June 2021. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale in Association with Poly Auction auction, the work Missing in Action 2 sold for HKD 7,026,000.00 (€ 763,205.77) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 3,500,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nara Yoshitomo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Knife Behind Back in October 2019 with an auction result of HKD 195,969,000.00 (€ 22,398,966.83).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Nara Yoshitomo erzielte im Juni 2021 bei Phillips in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale in Association with Poly Auction wurde die Arbeit Missing in Action 2 für HKD 7.026.000,00 (€ 763.205,77) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 3.500.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nara Yoshitomo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Knife Behind Back im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 195.969.000,00 (€ 22.398.966,83).
