This artwork by Yoshitaka Amano achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in London in April 2008. In the Vanmoerkerke Collection auction, the work Face 1 sold for GBP 17,300.00 (€ 22,055.06) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 7,000.00. This high result makes Face 1 the most expensive artwork by Yoshitaka Amano that we have observed at auctions so far.
