Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2013 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings, which included the work To The Temple / Pavilion by Yong Mun Sen. The price achieved of HKD 50,000.00 (€ 4,894.44) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yong Mun Sen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Beach in July 2020 with an auction result of HKD 562,500.00 (€ 61,629.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2013 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit To The Temple / Pavilion von Yong Mun Sen zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 50.000,00 (€ 4.894,44) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yong Mun Sen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Beach im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 562.500,00 (€ 61.629,44).
