Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Plaything by Yinka Shonibare was auctioned at Christies in New York in March last year. It achieved a price of USD 176,400.00 (€ 159,019.20), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 18%. Other works by Yinka Shonibare have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of USD 325,000.00 (€ 283,694.13) in December 2018 for the work Red Lantern Kid.
