This artwork by Yan Wenliang achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in April 2004. In the 20TH CENTURY CHINESE ART auction, the work Landscape by the riverside sold for HKD 573,600.00 (€ 37,233.17) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 280,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yan Wenliang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Night Moon in May 2016 with an auction result of HKD 4,360,000.00 (€ 503,935.34).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Yan Wenliang erzielte im April 2004 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20TH CENTURY CHINESE ART wurde die Arbeit Landscape by the riverside für HKD 573.600,00 (€ 37.233,17) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 280.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yan Wenliang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Night Moon im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.360.000,00 (€ 503.935,34).
