In December 2008 Sothebys in New York held the auction Israeli and International Art, which included this untitled work by Yehudit Sasportas. The »bidding war« ended at USD 20,000.00 (€ 14,368.85), 33% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yehudit Sasportas - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Last Name - Diptych, which sold at auction in December 2013 for USD 68,750.00 (€ 49,894.77).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 33 % übertroffen
Im Dezember 2008 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Israeli and International Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Yehudit Sasportas zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 20.000,00 (€ 14.368,85) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Yehudit Sasportas mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Last Name - Diptych beobachtet, die im Dezember 2013 für USD 68.750,00 (€ 49.894,77) versteigert wurde.
