Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2015 Sothebys in New York held the auction Israeli & International Art, which included the work Figure In Window by Yehezkel Streichman. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 11,250.00 (€ 10,360.07) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Yehezkel Streichman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Autumn At My Window in December 2010 with an auction result of USD 110,500.00 (€ 83,276.81).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2015 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Israeli & International Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Figure In Window von Yehezkel Streichman zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 11.250,00 (€ 10.360,07) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yehezkel Streichman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Autumn At My Window im Dezember 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 110.500,00 (€ 83.276,81).
