Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Final State Of Ball Of Yarn Against A Green Background) by Yehezkel Streichman was sold in the Israeli & International Art auction at Sothebys in New York in December 2014. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 34,375.00 (€ 28,406.74) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yehezkel Streichman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Autumn At My Window, which sold at auction in December 2010 for USD 110,500.00 (€ 83,276.81).

Die Arbeit Untitled (Final State Of Ball Of Yarn Against A Green Background) von Yehezkel Streichman wurde im Dezember 2014 in der Auktion Israeli & International Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 34.375,00 (€ 28.406,74) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Yehezkel Streichman mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Autumn At My Window beobachtet, die im Dezember 2010 für USD 110.500,00 (€ 83.276,81) versteigert wurde.
