Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Water Drops by Yeh Tzu-Chi was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2012. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 180,000.00 – 280,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 200,000.00 (€ 19,910.48) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Yeh Tzu-Chi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mist, Bruwan, Hualien (Painted In 2009-2010) in April 2021 with an auction result of HKD 1,180,000.00 (€ 126,337.49).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Water Drops von Yeh Tzu-Chi kam im Oktober 2012 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 180.000,00 – 280.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 200.000,00 (€ 19.910,48) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yeh Tzu-Chi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mist, Bruwan, Hualien (Painted In 2009-2010) im April 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.180.000,00 (€ 126.337,49).
