This artwork by Ye Gongchuo achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2017. In the Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online auction, the work Seven-character Calligraphic Couplet in Running Script sold for HKD 40,000.00 (€ 4,306.61) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ye Gongchuo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy Couplet In Xingshu in April 2017 with an auction result of HKD 2,000,000.00 (€ 236,071.59).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 100 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ye Gongchuo erzielte im November 2017 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online wurde die Arbeit Seven-character Calligraphic Couplet in Running Script für HKD 40.000,00 (€ 4.306,61) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ye Gongchuo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Xingshu im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.000.000,00 (€ 236.071,59).
