In June this year Christies in Paris held the auction Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online, which included the work Five-character Calligraphic Couplet in Running Script by Ye Gongchuo. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 56,700.00 (€ 6,625.38), 42% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ye Gongchuo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy Couplet In Xingshu in April 2017 with an auction result of HKD 2,000,000.00 (€ 236,071.59).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 42 % übertroffen
Im Juni diesen Jahres führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Five-character Calligraphic Couplet in Running Script von Ye Gongchuo zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 56.700,00 (€ 6.625,38) und damit 42% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ye Gongchuo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Xingshu im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.000.000,00 (€ 236.071,59).
