In March last year Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Dawn of Spring: Chinese Paintings Online, which included the work Seven-character Calligraphic Couplet in Running Script by Ye Gongchuo. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 69,300.00 (€ 7,977.65), 39% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ye Gongchuo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy Couplet In Xingshu in April 2017 with an auction result of HKD 2,000,000.00 (€ 236,071.59).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 39 % übertroffen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Dawn of Spring: Chinese Paintings Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Seven-character Calligraphic Couplet in Running Script von Ye Gongchuo zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 69.300,00 (€ 7.977,65) und damit 39% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ye Gongchuo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Xingshu im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.000.000,00 (€ 236.071,59).
