This artwork by Yao Nai achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in September 2016. In the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy auction, the work Calligraphy In Running Script sold for USD 3,000.00 (€ 2,669.51) - well above the upper estimate of USD 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yao Nai achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Letters in September 2015 with an auction result of USD 47,500.00 (€ 42,555.10).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 100 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Yao Nai erzielte im September 2016 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Calligraphy In Running Script für USD 3.000,00 (€ 2.669,51) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yao Nai erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Letters im September 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 47.500,00 (€ 42.555,10).
