Auction result misses estimated price range
In December last year a collector was able to acquire the work Calligraphy in Running Script by Yao Nai for HKD 95,000.00 (€ 11,384.37). This price was achieved in the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy at Christies in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 120,000.00 – 200,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yao Nai - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Letters, which sold at auction in September 2015 for USD 47,500.00 (€ 42,555.10).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Calligraphy in Running Script von Yao Nai für HKD 95.000,00 (€ 11.384,37) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 120.000,00 – 200.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Yao Nai mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Letters beobachtet, die im September 2015 für USD 47.500,00 (€ 42.555,10) versteigert wurde.
