This artwork by Yao Hua achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in New York in March last year. In the The Reverend Richard Fabian Collection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, Part IV auction, the work Reading in Autumn and Winter, 1926 sold for USD 10,200.00 (€ 9,194.99) - well above the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yao Hua - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Chrysanthemums By The Stream, which sold at auction in October 2017 for HKD 300,000.00 (€ 33,018.54).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Yao Hua erzielte im März letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Reverend Richard Fabian Collection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, Part IV wurde die Arbeit Reading in Autumn and Winter, 1926 für USD 10.200,00 (€ 9.194,99) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Yao Hua mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Chrysanthemums By The Stream beobachtet, die im Oktober 2017 für HKD 300.000,00 (€ 33.018,54) versteigert wurde.
