Artwork auctioned at nine times the upper estimate price
When the work Landscape And Calligraphy by Yao Hua was auctioned at China Guardian in Hong Kong in October 2019, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - HKD 12,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than nine times as high at HKD 118,000.00 (€ 13,487.23). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yao Hua - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Chrysanthemums By The Stream, which sold at auction in October 2017 for HKD 300,000.00 (€ 33,018.54).
Kunstwerk zum Neunfachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Als die Arbeit Landscape And Calligraphy von Yao Hua im Oktober 2019 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – HKD 12.000,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit HKD 118.000,00 (€ 13.487,23) mehr als neunmal so hoch. Für andere Arbeiten von Yao Hua mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Chrysanthemums By The Stream beobachtet, die im Oktober 2017 für HKD 300.000,00 (€ 33.018,54) versteigert wurde.
