In November 2013 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Modern Paintings, which included the work Tropical Scenery by Yang Yanwen. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 50,000.00 (€ 4,740.56), 25% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Yang Yanwen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Casting The Net in December 2015 with an auction result of HKD 175,000.00 (€ 20,789.21).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im November 2013 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Tropical Scenery von Yang Yanwen zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 50.000,00 (€ 4.740,56) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yang Yanwen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Casting The Net im Dezember 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 175.000,00 (€ 20.789,21).
