Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2016 POLY in Hong Kong held the auction Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Running Script Calligraphy by Yang Xian. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 80,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 88,500.00 (€ 10,414.61). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yang Xian - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Twelve-Character Couplet In Clerical Script, which sold at auction in October 2017 for HKD 295,000.00 (€ 32,468.23).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2016 führte POLY in Hong Kong die Auktion Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Running Script Calligraphy von Yang Xian zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 80.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 88.500,00 (€ 10.414,61) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Yang Xian mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Twelve-Character Couplet In Clerical Script beobachtet, die im Oktober 2017 für HKD 295.000,00 (€ 32.468,23) versteigert wurde.
