Auction result misses estimated price range
In March last year a collector was able to acquire the work Calligraphy in Li script by Yang Xian for USD 4,845.00 (€ 4,367.62). This price was achieved in the auction The Reverend Richard Fabian Collection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, Part V The Online Sale at Bonhams in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Yang Xian have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Twelve-Character Couplet In Clerical Script in October 2017 with an auction result of HKD 295,000.00 (€ 32,468.23).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Calligraphy in Li script von Yang Xian für USD 4.845,00 (€ 4.367,62) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Reverend Richard Fabian Collection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, Part V The Online Sale bei Bonhams in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 7.000,00 – 10.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yang Xian auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Twelve-Character Couplet In Clerical Script im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 295.000,00 (€ 32.468,23).
