Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Couplet In Clerical Script by Yang Xian was auctioned at China Guardian in Hong Kong in October 2019. The price achieved of HKD 35,400.00 (€ 4,046.17) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Yang Xian have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Twelve-Character Couplet In Clerical Script in October 2017 with an auction result of HKD 295,000.00 (€ 32,468.23).
