Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Calligraphy in Clerical Script by Yang Xian was auctioned at Bonhams in Hong Kong in December 2021. The price achieved of HKD 12,750.00 (€ 1,444.20) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yang Xian achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Twelve-Character Couplet In Clerical Script in October 2017 with an auction result of HKD 295,000.00 (€ 32,468.23).

Die Arbeit Calligraphy in Clerical Script von Yang Xian kam im Dezember 2021 bei Bonhams in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 12.750,00 (€ 1.444,20) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yang Xian erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Twelve-Character Couplet In Clerical Script im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 295.000,00 (€ 32.468,23).
