It achieved a price of HKD 106,250.00 (€ 12,976.95), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 33%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yang Xian - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Twelve-Character Couplet In Clerical Script, which sold at auction in October 2017 for HKD 295,000.00 (€ 32,468.23).

Die Arbeit Calligraphy In Clerical Script von Yang Xian kam im November 2015 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 106.250,00 (€ 12.976,95) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 33%. Für andere Arbeiten von Yang Xian mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Twelve-Character Couplet In Clerical Script beobachtet, die im Oktober 2017 für HKD 295.000,00 (€ 32.468,23) versteigert wurde.
