Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2015 Sothebys in New York held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy, which included the work Calligraphy Couplet In Clerical Script by Yang Xian. The price achieved of USD 3,750.00 (€ 3,359.61) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Yang Xian have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Twelve-Character Couplet In Clerical Script in October 2017 with an auction result of HKD 295,000.00 (€ 32,468.23).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2015 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Clerical Script von Yang Xian zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 3.750,00 (€ 3.359,61) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yang Xian auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Twelve-Character Couplet In Clerical Script im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 295.000,00 (€ 32.468,23).
