This artwork by Yang San-Lang achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2007. In the 20th Century Chinese Art auction, the work The Sea sold for HKD 660,000.00 (€ 62,845.46) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 300,000.00. Admittedly, works by Yang San-Lang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sunrise in May 2007 with an auction result of HKD 2,640,000.00 (€ 251,381.85).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Yang San-Lang erzielte im Mai 2007 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century Chinese Art wurde die Arbeit The Sea für HKD 660.000,00 (€ 62.845,46) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 300.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yang San-Lang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sunrise im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.640.000,00 (€ 251.381,85).
