Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Yang Mingyi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2007. In the Fine Modern Chinese Paintings auction, the work Sunrise over the Lake sold for HKD 228,000.00 (€ 21,710.25) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 100,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yang Mingyi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Village By The River, which sold at auction in October 2013 for HKD 575,000.00 (€ 54,564.51).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Yang Mingyi erzielte im Mai 2007 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Modern Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Sunrise over the Lake für HKD 228.000,00 (€ 21.710,25) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 100.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Yang Mingyi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Village By The River beobachtet, die im Oktober 2013 für HKD 575.000,00 (€ 54.564,51) versteigert wurde.
