Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2017 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Modern Paintings, which included the work Sun Rising/Calligraphic Couplet by Yang Mingyi. The price achieved of HKD 62,500.00 (€ 6,729.07) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Admittedly, works by Yang Mingyi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Village By The River in October 2013 with an auction result of HKD 575,000.00 (€ 54,564.51).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2017 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sun Rising/Calligraphic Couplet von Yang Mingyi zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 62.500,00 (€ 6.729,07) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yang Mingyi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Village By The River im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 575.000,00 (€ 54.564,51).
