Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2018 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Modern Paintings, which included the work Village under Moonlight / Calligraphic Couplet by Yang Mingyi. The price achieved of HKD 52,500.00 (€ 5,925.55) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Yang Mingyi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Village By The River in October 2013 with an auction result of HKD 575,000.00 (€ 54,564.51).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2018 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Village under Moonlight / Calligraphic Couplet von Yang Mingyi zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 52.500,00 (€ 5.925,55) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yang Mingyi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Village By The River im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 575.000,00 (€ 54.564,51).
