Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Lake Tai/ Calligraphic Couplet by Yang Mingyi was sold in the Fine Chinese Modern Paintings auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2017. It achieved a price of HKD 81,250.00 (€ 9,277.66), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 16%. Admittedly, works by Yang Mingyi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Village By The River in October 2013 with an auction result of HKD 575,000.00 (€ 54,564.51).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Lake Tai/ Calligraphic Couplet von Yang Mingyi wurde im Mai 2017 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 81.250,00 (€ 9.277,66) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 16%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yang Mingyi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Village By The River im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 575.000,00 (€ 54.564,51).
