In September 2017 Christies in Shanghai held the auction First Open | Shanghai, which included the work Ms. Huang at M Last Night No. 8 by Yang Fudong. The »bidding war« ended at CNY 360,000.00 (€ 45,803.78), 29% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yang Fudong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The First Intellectual, which sold at auction in April 2014 for HKD 1,480,000.00 (€ 137,649.60).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 29 % übertroffen
Im September 2017 führte Christies in Shanghai die Auktion First Open | Shanghai durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ms. Huang at M Last Night No. 8 von Yang Fudong zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von CNY 360.000,00 (€ 45.803,78) und damit 29% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Yang Fudong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The First Intellectual beobachtet, die im April 2014 für HKD 1.480.000,00 (€ 137.649,60) versteigert wurde.
