The work International Hotel No. 8 by Yang Fudong was auctioned at Christies in Shanghai in September 2017. It achieved a price of CNY 420,000.00 (€ 53,437.74), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 50%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yang Fudong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The First Intellectual, which sold at auction in April 2014 for HKD 1,480,000.00 (€ 137,649.60).

Die Arbeit International Hotel No. 8 von Yang Fudong kam im September 2017 bei Christies in Shanghai zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von CNY 420.000,00 (€ 53.437,74) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 50%. Für andere Arbeiten von Yang Fudong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The First Intellectual beobachtet, die im April 2014 für HKD 1.480.000,00 (€ 137.649,60) versteigert wurde.
