Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Summer Palace by Yan Wenliang was worth HKD 475,000.00 (€ 46,931.57) to a buyer in November 2010. This price was achieved in the auction Chinese 20th Century Art (Day Sale) at Christies in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 150,000.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yan Wenliang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Night Moon in May 2016 with an auction result of HKD 4,360,000.00 (€ 503,935.34).

Die Arbeit Summer Palace von Yan Wenliang war einem Käufer im November 2010 HKD 475.000,00 (€ 46.931,57) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Chinese 20th Century Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 150.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yan Wenliang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Night Moon im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.360.000,00 (€ 503.935,34).
