Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2011 a collector was able to acquire the work Landscape by Yan Wenliang for HKD 375,000.00 (€ 34,631.10). This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century Chinese Art at Sothebys in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 380,000.00 – 500,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yan Wenliang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Night Moon in May 2016 with an auction result of HKD 4,360,000.00 (€ 503,935.34).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2011 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Landscape von Yan Wenliang für HKD 375.000,00 (€ 34.631,10) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 20th Century Chinese Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 380.000,00 – 500.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yan Wenliang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Night Moon im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.360.000,00 (€ 503.935,34).
