Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2013 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale), which included the work Colosseum of Rome by Yan Wenliang. The price achieved of HKD 275,000.00 (€ 26,073.06) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 220,000.00 – 350,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yan Wenliang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Night Moon in May 2016 with an auction result of HKD 4,360,000.00 (€ 503,935.34).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2013 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Colosseum of Rome von Yan Wenliang zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 275.000,00 (€ 26.073,06) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 220.000,00 – 350.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yan Wenliang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Night Moon im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.360.000,00 (€ 503.935,34).
