Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mother And Child by Yan Ping was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Art auction at POLY in Hong Kong in October 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 220,000.00 – 400,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 259,600.00 (€ 28,572.05) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Yan Ping have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Spring Flavour; & Rabbit in May 2012 with an auction result of HKD 2,660,000.00 (€ 277,101.26).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Mother And Child von Yan Ping wurde im Oktober 2017 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art bei POLY in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 220.000,00 – 400.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 259.600,00 (€ 28.572,05) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yan Ping auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Spring Flavour; & Rabbit im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.660.000,00 (€ 277.101,26).
