This artwork by Yan Ping achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2012. In the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction, the work Spring Flavour; & Rabbit sold for HKD 2,660,000.00 (€ 277,101.26) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 1,000,000.00. This high result makes Spring Flavour; & Rabbit the most expensive artwork by Yan Ping that we have observed at auctions so far.
