Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2013 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction The Su Zhu An Collection of Chinese Paintings and Inkstones (Paintings Section), which included the work Seven-Character Poem In Cursive Script by Xu You. The price achieved of HKD 1,240,000.00 (€ 117,565.78) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 1,000,000.00 – 1,500,000.00. Admittedly, works by Xu You have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Poems in Cursive Script in June this year with an auction result of HKD 6,804,000.00 (€ 795,046.15).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2013 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion The Su Zhu An Collection of Chinese Paintings and Inkstones (Paintings Section) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Seven-Character Poem In Cursive Script von Xu You zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 1.240.000,00 (€ 117.565,78) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 1.000.000,00 – 1.500.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Xu You auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Poems in Cursive Script im Juni diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 6.804.000,00 (€ 795.046,15).
